Raindrops keep fallin' over KL

This entry is actually an extended reply to the comment by a prodigious blogger (Kebun Malay-Kadazan girls) who is also a good gardener's comment on one of my post about the weather in KL (All hail the weather...). Hope you like the pics :-)

Today started off bright and sunny. Then the clouds suddenly crept in and poured over KL around lunch time. By 3pm, the rain stopped, but by 6pm, dark clouds rolled in again and boy did it pour. That didn't stop until 8pm. That made it cool and nice, but definitely wet.
The dark clouds hang over KL, 'clipping' off KL Tower and the Petronas Twin Towers.

In contrast to that, we had a beautiful sunset last Thursday evening (24 Nov 2011). It had been a hot day and I thought that the day would end in a thunderstorm, but the clouds that were formed were light and those clouds broke the light from the setting sun. Just beautiful. So yeah, the weather has just been crazy lately...

  1. Ah I like those pictures. The sky are always changing faces there in KL. I hope some of the rain come here as well. As you know it very rare to watch big clouds here in Adelaide. We had a pink sunset last weekend fishing trip. We went close to Torrens Island Fish Market for fishing.

  2. Glad you liked it. A pink sunset is beautiful, you must have had a good time fishing. Too bad the fishes were not of legal size. Kat sini, ikan yang kecil pun kena sapu, kesian.

  3. Btw, I've heard that due to the power station, fisherman had stopped fishing there and people have caught deformed/strange fish. Try Outer Habour or Pelican Point. The fish sold at fishermens' wharf is not as fresh as they are supposed to be cos they buy it off somewhere and resell it.

  4. Is Outer Habour or Pelican Point have sandy beaches? We usually pick this place is just to let our boys play on the beach and there are not many people around. Dolphins come close to play sometime here. But when dolphins there, definitely no fish. All lari dah.

  5. Unfortunately Outer Harbour is all concrete now. Not too sure about the far end of Pelican Point. Yeah, semua kena kejar oleh dolphin.

  7. Thank you so much for the seeds. Have a good weekend ahead. The monsoon rain here is rather heavy at the moment. Semalam lebat sampai tak berani nak pandu kereta balik rumah sebab tak nampak jalan.
